I find that when Candida is really active, lower sugar fruits such as apples do better than higher sugar fruits like bananas. But what really helps me is getting to a low fat diet. Then the sugars go into the blood and then out of the blood rather than getting stuck in the bloodstream (due to the coating of fat on the artery walls).

Hi. I have struggled with health problems my whole life and have always strayed toward a vegetarian diet (though I grew up in a meateating family). My question is this: not only have I struggled with candida my whole life (now 25 yrs old), but I have terrible acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome. I was always told to stay away from fruits (not only for the candida) but for the acid that would really affect the IBS and acid reflux. Are there certain fruits that are better than others? Any thoughts? Thanks!
